To the Point!

Welcome to To the Point!

This is our place to transform inclusive practices--together! We will discuss what is happening to increase our awareness and extend our action steps. Each month’s post will be theme-based around your questions.

The compass that is imaged above actually sits on my desk. It was given to me as a gift a long time ago. As I cherish it each day, I am reminded of many things:

1. Be concise, precise, authentic, and flexible.

2. Always stay true to doing what I believe is right for learners in inclusive classrooms.

The compass is the focus for this blog column in a few ways that honor our busy schedules. We must:

  • get to the point!

  • say it like it is! Disrupt the status quo. Yes!

  • share, listen, and illuminate what is most important for learners in your classrooms.

The overarching question to drive our conversations is:

What can we do to co-create meaningful inclusive learning experiences with all learners in our classrooms?

How will I get these questions, you ask? Through our conversations, of course!

Here’s how:

  • Our in-person communications as I make my way around schools

  • Email me with the subject “To the Point!” at ElizabethL.Stein@gmail.com

  • Direct message me on Twitter @ElizabethLStein

  • Go to “Contact Us” link right here at my website—and contact me!

So, let’s get to the point!

What are you experiencing as an educator within co-taught, resource room,

or special class settings?
